Michelle has spent 8 years curating the world's largest Esprit archive, the iconic 1980s lifestyle brand that inspired her to become a designer and defined her generation. No brand embodied "stand for something" more than Esprit. They created a visual language rooted in a strong vision and bold design, but what made Esprit extraordinary was their willingness to stand up for what mattered. From addressing the AIDS crisis in the mid 80s, championing "Don't Conform – Inform" to the first major fashion brand to launch a sustainable collection in the early 90s. Esprit understood that a brand point of view has a responsibility. The fact that their legacy still resonates four decades later isn't nostalgia, it's evidence that when a brand truly commits to what it stands for, it doesn't fade, it becomes the benchmark for everything that follows. Today Michelle is making sure future generations can learn from what made Esprit extraordinary.
